Why is the Parad Durga Mata Idol so Powerful?
1. Direct Union of Shiva & Shakti: In Rasa Shastra (the ancient Indian science of alchemy), Parad is respectfully known as Rasa, the divine essence associated with Lord Shiva. When mercury is solidified through Parad Bandhan and formed into Maa Durga (Shakti), it invokes both the protective energy of Maa Durga and Lord Shiva.
2. Self-Energized (Pran Pratishthit): Unlike ordinary materials that require Prana Pratishtha to enrich them with divine energy, Parad is regarded as a self-energized (Siddha Dhatu) material. During Navratri, when the worship of Shakti becomes especially significant, a Parad idol is believed to absorb and amplify these subtle spiritual vibrations within the home.
3. Destruction of Negative Energies & Vastu Dosha: Parad is said to absorb heavy, dense and negative energies from its surroundings without itself becoming contaminated. Parad Durga idol at home helps create a protective spiritual aura or Kavach around the home, helping safeguard the household from evil eye, black magic, mental unrest, and serious Vastu-related disturbances.
4. Acceleration of Mantra Sadhana & Siddhis: Performing Chandi Path, Durga Saptashati, or chanting Durga mantras in front of a Parad idol provides greater spiritual merit than worshipping with ordinary idols. It helps the devotee maintain concentration, stabilise the mind, and support deeper sadhana and Kundalini practices during Navratri.
5. Karmic Cleansing: Parad Maa Durga worship helps cleanse past and present karmic sins and achieve liberation from the cycle of birth and rebirth.
6. Relief from Misfortune: Parad idol worship helps devotees overcome difficult circumstances and invite good fortune, prosperity, and positive energies into life.
Once mercury is properly bound and formed into an idol — whether it is Parad Goddess Durga, Lord Vishnu, Ganesh Ji or another deity — it is regarded as a continuous source of sattvic energy, attracting protection and prosperity for those who worship it.
